Great Pumpkin Rescue is A Success!

pumpkin collection

Thank you to all the families who carefully carried or wheeled their many heavy pumpkins to school last Friday!

Black Earth Compost reported we collected 1,500 lbs of pumpkins! All of that material has been rescued from the incinerator and will instead help create rich soil used to grow food. The Dallin Go Green Club initiated the event, which spread to Brackett and four schools in Lexington.

Special thanks to the very strong 5th grade students who helped us hoist the pumpkins on to the collection truck later that morning!

Thanksgiving Food Drive!

Once again Brackett is joining the Board of Youth Services for their annual food drive at Thanksgiving.

Each grade is assigned a food item to donate. Gift cards from Stop and Shop and Market Basket are also appreciated. Please look for the flyer in your child's backpack.

All donated items are due by Thursday November 16th!

Thanks!
