Science & Math

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Committee

We are the STEM Enrichment Committee of the PTO at the Brackett School in Arlington, MA.  We provide both financial and logistical support for Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math (STEM) activities at Brackett.

This year we plant to work with the Green Initiatives Group (GIG) for they have several activities that are life science based as well.  Please stay tuned for more on this…

Some of our group's members are able to attend periodic planning meetings, which we typically hold in our homes.  Other members cannot attend the meetings, but provide input via email, and also come in person when we need the most help - at Math Night and at the Science Fair.  Whatever your level of interest and availability, we welcome you to the group!

Here are some STEM Enrichment Activities that typically take place at Brackett.

• Rocket launch at Robbins Farm Park (was a great success this year – held in September)
