Gift Wrap A significant Fall annual fundraiser. Scheduled early in the school year, with gift wrap delivered in mid-November. Volunteers tally order forms and help with distribution when gift wrap arrives.
Book Fair This year’s Fall book fair will be coordinated by Book Ends, a Winchester bookstore known for its high quality books and gifts. The book fair will be open to students for three days in November and for one parents-only shopping night. Volunteers make phone calls to confirm other volunteers’ shift, work as cashiers, help children find books, and help with set-up and clean-up.
June Fair/ Yard Sale This combined end-of-year event is for both fun and profit. We need a number of people in early spring to start planning refreshments, games, crafts, logistics, etc. It’s a great team effort and new ideas are always welcome. During the fair, we need a lot of hands to help at booths and with set-up and clean-up.
Read Across Brackett This semi-annual event promotes literacy and is typically held to coincide with Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Guest readers from the Arlington community, a guest author, and book swap are among the highlights. The annual Reading Challenge and library book donation program are also tied to this event. Volunteers are needed to help coordinate special classroom readers and manage logistics the night of the event.
Square Dance An even for the whole family to enjoy in April! Join us in the gym for a good old-fashioned dance. Volunteers are needed on the night of the event.
Italian Family Feast Families enjoy a fabulous Italian feast and in the festively decorated cafeteria sometime in the late winter/early spring.
Thanksgiving Pie Sale This event provides an opportunity to buy Wilson Farm pies for the holiday or to donate them to a local charity. Volunteers process orders and distribute pies.
School Pictures Schedules the Fall date and coordinates the distribution of order forms for individual and class pictures. Works with the photographer and coordinates classrooms and teachers on picture day.
