PTO & Forms

The Brackett PTO welcomes you to the 2016-17 school year! The PTO is all of us working together to help make Brackett the best it can be. The Brackett PTO has two goals: enriching our children’s Brackett experience and building community spirit at our school. We accomplish this by sponsoring a wide range of events and activities throughout the year and by supplementing the resources available to the school and our teachers. Of course, this all takes a hard work and money, so we rely heavily on volunteers and fundraising to get the job done.

There are many ways to get involved with the PTO - volunteering, participation in fundraising events and activities, annual donation, company match donation, card registrations, web shopping and box tops to name a few.

The PTO is managed collectively through a committee-based structure. We are a registered non-profit organization and have elected officers. Committee chairs and event coordinators build teams of volunteers and report back to the entire group at monthly meetings. This makes it possible to distribute the workload across many people and to create many different avenues for getting involved.

Want to help? You can make a difference by:

  • Coming to Meetings: Participating in monthly meetings is a great way to learn about PTO activities and to contribute your ideas. Meetings (most are in the evening, but we will be having some casual am meetings after drop-off) are announced in Enews.
  • Volunteering: The success of the PTO depends on the strength of our volunteer force. If you are interested in volunteering, please check out the various committees and events available and reach out to the designated contacts.
  • A check reimbursement form for items purchased for an event is attached.
  • Making a Financial Contribution: Each year, the PTO funds many activities that enhance our children’s school experiences. Did you know that the PTO spends $75.00 per year on every student for enrichment activities such as field trips, visual arts, cultural events, library, math, science and technology?

Attending Events and Participating in Activities: It may sound obvious, but there's really nothing more important than turnout at our many events throughout the year. Even if you can't help, your attendance boosts the success of our events and enriches the PTO and our school community.

If you have any questions regarding the meetings, volunteer opportunities, or financial contribution, please don’t hesitate to ask - you can find our contact info here.

Thank you in advance for your help in making this a great year for the Brackett School!
